Main Floor Refresh

This project has been awhile in the making and we are SUPER pumped to finally be able to share the start to finish steps with you!! As some of you may have figured out, this is our owner Ann's personal home in Tremont.  They built this beautiful home about 20 years ago, so it was time for a little update and refresh!

To begin the process, about 2 years ago, they had the dark cherry cabinets spray painted by Kevin Eastman.  (Highly recommend him - very efficient and superb job).  Dave actually surprised Ann and gifted this to her as a Christmas gift, after she had this vision and dream for awhile! Needless to say, she was VERY excited!! Kevin did the majority of the work while they were away on vacation.

Sorry, the first few pics are poor quality, and a little blurry, keep scrolling;)

AFTER: WOW, what a transformation! As you may notice, the backsplash is now light grey.  That is still the original backsplash tile, but Dave and Ann painted that themselves with a paint specifically for tile. They also lightened the wall color as well.

As you can see in the previous photos, the kitchen flooring is a light tile.  To be honest, Ann was never a fan of this tile since they built...the coloring and texture, how it shows dirt, and was difficult to clean.  So this was a long time in the making:)

Time to tear up the tile! Ann's husband Dave tore up the tile in 2 days time, and then added a layer of plywood (or something similar:) down to even out with rest of flooring. (this is also before wall tile was painted)

Then the flooring went down.  They chose a natural wide plank LVP from Carpet Weavers.  It REALLY lightened up the whole house!

The flooring continued into the living and dining rooms, and was just layed over the existing hardwood cherry floor.

Before the floor was laid, they repainted their walls to lighten them up. (Sherwin William's Accessible Beige) As you can see, she also purchased new chairs!! This cream upholstered pair are from our Rowe Furntiure Line and the black leather pair are from a line we sell as well!

The flooring continued into the open dining room as well. Dave laid about 1200 square foot of flooring in about a weeks time. Quick, but HUGE transformation!!

Thanks for following along!! Have questions?? Feel free to reach out to us!
