Today’s blog was at the home of a very busy and sweet couple and their newborn!  Their design style was rustic modern.

We started the project in the office.  Running their own landscaping business, our couple needed an office that was functional, and had to incorporate the husband’s favorite sport…hunting!  It was pretty much an empty slate, located right inside the front door.  They had a sliding bard door installed so that it could hide any “office mess” when guests came through the front door.  Since he needed file cabinets and roll out shelves for his printer, they had the desk and sideboard custom made.  We started off with ordering the a life like deer print, and then picked out a rug that brought a touch of that same blue in the room.  We picked a more masculine chandelier and hung two 4′ reclaimed floating shelves on the back wall.  His wife wanted to surprise him and save a place for his stuffed deer head.  We accessorized the shelves and sideboard using some of his antlers and duck decoys.
In the great room we ordered a beautiful abstract print for above the sofa bringing in some of the white to go with her lamps, and some of the dark to go great with their leather furniture.

In the master bedroom, we added lamps and greenery on the bed side tables.  They wanted to add a touch of the turquoise blue in their room, so we incorporated a gorgeous abstract art above the lower dresser.  To add warmth, we added a set of big beaded gray jars and a modern vase with some white flowers.

On the taller dresser we hung a round, rustic cream mirror above it and then added an orchid plant and candlesticks.
